Meet Bayer – Resilient, Loving, and Ready for His Forever Home! 🐾 Bayer was rescued at 7 weeks of age, wagging his butt and tail into our lives! He is a Formosan Mountain Dog cross - a land race breed that is essentially a cat in a dog's body! Bayer’s journey began in a remote area where the rescuer tried to trap and spay Bayer's mother, who had already given birth and hid her puppies in a den. Bayer was found alone in one of the dirt burrows, just over a month old, alone and vulnerable. ✨ About Bayer: ✔ Male | Approximately 2 years old ✔ Neutered, fully vaccinated, dewormed, and health checked ✔ Good with dogs and cats ✔ Can be good with children if good boundaries are established between the child and Bayer. ✔ Affectionate, playful, and confident once he trusts you ✔ Loves cuddling with dogs he likes—expect lots of kisses! ✔ Has a strong personality. Consent to touch is a must. ✔ Alert barks when new people enter; needs slow, respectful introductions, especially with men 🏡 Ideal Home: Bayer is looking for a patient, village dog-savvy family who is willing to have a connection and collaboration-based relationship rather than the traditional dog ownership concept. Better yet, a wacky sense of humour!
