Coconut Cream Pie

My story

Coconut Creme or as we like to call her, Cici, is now 7 weeks old and accepting applications for her foster to adopt home. She will not be separated from her brother till she’s at least 8 weeks old, however being our classic black pittie we wanted to give them a head start at finding that forever. These babies truly mean so much to us because we weren’t sure if they would make it here. The Pie litter started out at 8 puppies, we had one failure to thrive and then 5 puppies pass away from a horrible case of CHV. This is a virus that they can catch from mom and when you’re under 3-4 weeks old and cannot regulate your own body temperature it can be fatal. We did it all including tube feeding, bottle feeding, medication administration and temp checks every 2 hours. They also spent their time in an incubator. We are so sad for the babies we lost but we are so thankful to have our two here growing everyday. We are looking for separate forever homes for these puppies that are aware of the training and time it takes to raise a puppy. - They are working on crate training and doing well but will have an adjustment once they are separated. - They are doing well at pee pad training but will have to start fresh on outside potty training once their vaccinations are complete. - They are puppies so will need patient and training to ensure that they are the best that they can be. - They are not spayed and neutered just yet but if they find their forever home prior to that date we will allow them to go to foster to adopts once they are old enough. The adoption fee includes age appropriate vaccines, spay/neuter, deworming, first month of preventatives and microchip. Cici is located in Chicago and is adoptable within 3 hours of Chicago.
