My story

Meet Nova! This 5-month-old, 30 lb cutie is ready to light up your life! Nova is likely a pitbull mix with a dash of something larger — maybe shepherd, based on her gorgeous coat. We expect she’ll grow into a beautiful 50–60 lb adult. Nova is all the things we love about puppies: sweet, playful, and full of snuggles! She loves other dogs and is especially happy when she has a pup friend to play with. She’s been around cats too — and aside from some curious sniffing, she gives them their space. She’d likely do great with dog-savvy cats. She’s kennel trained and working hard on her potty and leash skills. Like any puppy, she’s still figuring out what’s a toy and what’s not (chew toys are her favorite!), so she’ll need a family committed to continued training and structure. She is highly treat motivated and is super, super smart! Very eager to please her people. She takes correction well and is generally submissive to other dogs. She loves playing in the water and has been enjoying car trips and fun visits to the dog park meeting friends! She take a few minutes to gain her confidence at the dog park but then she is off making friends and playing! Overall she is a medium energy girl. Nova would thrive in a home with older kids who understand how to respectfully interact with their furry friends. She’s also a great car companion!
