My story

Ready for his flight to Toronto upon adoption—currently in Korea. 🐾 Background: Chowol was rescued from a city pound in Gwangju last October, just in time before he was scheduled to be euthanized. Since then, he’s been living safely at our boarding house with other dogs, waiting patiently for his forever family to find him. 🐾 Personality and Socialization: Chowol is a smart and affectionate boy with a cheerful and loving personality. He’s friendly with strangers and warms up to new people very quickly. Chowol is quite social and enjoys being around people—he thrives on human companionship and loves going for walks together. He’s also a quick learner and responds well to guidance. When it comes to other dogs, he gets along well with most—especially those who are friendly and playful like him. However, he tends to avoid dogs who are overly hyper or dominant. Chowol hasn’t been tested with cats or young children. 🐾 Behaviours: Chowol loves snuggling and being close to his people. He’s also happy entertaining himself with toys or relaxing quietly nearby. He prefers to do his business outside but will use pee pads indoors if needed. He’s well-mannered during car rides, bath time, and vet visits. 🐾 Health and Diet: When Chowol was first rescued, he tested positive for heartworms. He has since completed his treatment and is now healthy and heartworm-free. He’s neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and receives monthly parasite preventatives. Chowol eats dry kibble twice a day and has no known allergies. 🐾 Ideal Home: Chowol would thrive in a home where someone is around most of the time—perhaps someone who works from home, is retired, or simply enjoys spending quality time with their dog. He would love to be part of a family that enjoys outdoor activities like walks or hikes. Another friendly and playful dog in the home would be a bonus, but not a must. If you’re looking for a sweet, smart, playful and affectionate companion who will always be by your side, Chowol might be the one you’ve been waiting for.
