You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Poppie came to the shelter as an owner surrender. This was a tough one. Her owners' rental management changed their policies and decided that she was no longer allowed. Finding an affordable, pit bull friendly rental is not an easy thing to do. Poppie is a lovely, bubbly gal who was very loved by her family. She is 6 years old, fully vetted, and her fee is $150. Poppie is a bit on the chunky side and could definitely lose a few pounds. She's still pretty active and strong. She has lived with other dogs and kids. She is not a fan of cats so we're thinking that she would do best in a home without smaller animals in general. She has a beautiful zest for life! NOTE:  Adoptions are done via private appointment once an application has been completed and approved. Applications must be submitted at our website, mchs.rescuegroups.org. We are located at 101 22nd St. SE in Austin, right next to the airport. It's exit 180B off of I-90, right off of 218 South.
