My story

Hi there, I’m Nova 🌙🐾 I may be a little shy at first, but once I feel safe, you’ll see just how much love I have to give. I was found wandering near the shelter, and when no one came to claim me, the kind people here said I could stay until I find a home of my very own. That’s what I’m hoping for now—somewhere calm, loving, and patient, where I can finally exhale and just be. I’m what you might call a low-confidence girl. New places, loud noises, or too much commotion can make me nervous, so I’d really love a quiet home. I’m not the kind of dog who charges into a room with my tail wagging—I’m more of a “let me hang back and watch first” kind of pup. But once I trust you? Oh, I’m a total cuddle bug. Sweet, soft, and all about the love. I’m a mellow girl at heart, but once I’m comfortable, my playful, goofy side starts to shine. I’ll show you my silly personality—one gentle step at a time. I’m smart and a quick learner, and with some kind encouragement and basic training, I know I’ll bloom into your perfect companion. I’m still working on my leash manners, and sometimes sudden sounds make me jump, but I’m really trying my best. I’d do best in a home with another dog—especially one who’s calm and well-mannered. I’d prefer a buddy who won’t jump all over me since I like to keep things low-key. Being around another dog helps me feel more confident, and I start to open up in ways I can’t always do on my own. Having a gentle friend by my side makes me feel safe, and I really come out of my shell. If you have a calm home, a kind heart, and a soft spot for underdogs, I think we could be something special.
