My story

DOB 3-Apr-2024 Gargamel is being fostered at one of Toronto Cat Rescue’s pet store partner locations. Please note that if you’re approved to adopt, you’ll need to pick them up from the store within 24 hours of being approved. Gargamel is a sturdy, one-year-old brown and black tabby with a steady presence and a gentle heart. Rescued alongside his sidekick Blanglie, he’s shown a sweet, protective side—often letting her hide behind him when she was frightened and spending quiet time by her side. A true strong, silent type, Gargamel prefers the calm of his cat condo with Blangile by his side, where he can observe the world at his own pace. He enjoys gentle head and jaw scratches, but he has clear boundaries—touch anywhere else, and you may get a polite swat as a reminder. He enjoys wand toys as his go-to toy. Gargamel grazes on kibble throughout the day and has impeccable litter box manners. He doesn't ask for much—just a peaceful home and a bit of understanding. He’d be a perfect match for someone who appreciates a quiet companion over a cuddly lap cat. Gargamel will never demand attention, but he’ll always be nearby, quietly keeping you company—and keeping your secrets safe. He’d love to be adopted with Blanglie, or into a home with another calm, friendly cat as he enjoys the company of other cats.
