My story

DOB 10-Oct-2024 Blanglie is being fostered at one of Toronto Cat Rescue’s pet store partner locations. Please note that if you’re approved to adopt, you’ll need to pick them up from the store within 24 hours of being approved. Blanglie is an adorable 6-month-old brown tabby with a gentle soul and a brave heart. Rescued as a stray alongside her loyal buddy Gargamel, she started off wary of people—spending her first week hiding and hissing in fear. But with Gargamel by her side as her steady protector, she slowly began to trust and explore. With patience and time, Blanglie’s walls came down. She began to accept gentle head scratches, then eventually allowed pets down her back—and now, she purrs to show her appreciation. She’ll even squeak to let you know she’s ready for more affection. While she still gets a little nervous around new people, she no longer hides away and continues to grow in confidence. Blanglie spends her days happily lounging and playing with Gargamel. She’s just discovering the joy of toys and especially loves anything with a long tail—wand toys are a big hit! She grazes on kibble throughout the day, uses the litter box like a pro, and brings a peaceful energy to the home. Blanglie would thrive with a patient adopter who will give her time to settle in and feel safe. Any children in the home should be old enough to respect her boundaries—she may hiss or swat if rushed, but with gentle care, she blossoms into an affectionate, sweet-natured companion. She would love to be adopted with Gargamel, or into a home with another calm, friendly cat who can help her continue to come out of her shell.
