My story

Casey Jones` Compatibility:Dogs: Bring your pup for a meetCats: TBDKids: Yes, kids 10 years old and up would be a great fitCasey Jones is a toy-loving, zoomie-having, treat-motivated pup who’s still learning the ropes of life! When he first arrived as a stray, he was nervous and unsure. New people, new sounds, new smells? Pretty overwhelming. But give him a squeaky toy and a little time to warm up, and you’ll see a whole new side of him. His goofy personality starts to shine when he’s got something to chase or chew on, and that tail gets going like a wind-up toy!Casey is still a youngster with energy to spare and not much guidance in his past, so he’s figuring out what’s okay (and what’s not) when it comes to playing with people. Because of this, he’ll do best in a home with kids 10 and older who can understand his behavior and help set him up for success. He needs a calm, steady start in his new home. Big outings, busy gatherings, or dog parks should wait until he’s had time to settle in. Toys, treats, and reassurance will help him feel secure and confident. He’ll benefit from positive reinforcement training, and we’re happy to help you find a great trainer if you need one.If you’re patient, consistent, and ready to cheer on a sweet dog as he grows into his best self, Casey Jones is your guy!

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Casey Jones, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
