Obsidian

My story

A volunteer writes:Obsidian is as beautiful, smooth and shiny as the semi precious stone he is named after. He was found as a stray, seemingly injured. He was unkempt, underweight, matted and brought to the care center by a Good Samaritan. Obsidian has been a gem of a cat since he joined us in the medical room. He is the best patient and has only purrs and head bunts for his caretakers. His hinds are ataxic but allow him to stand and walk very slowly with a wobbly and swaying gait. He does fall sometimes.He is able to eliminate but has "misses". Obsidian is a brave little soldier. He is so determined to do all the things he likely was able to do before what ever happened to him. He wants to be with people, be cared for and loved. He wants to be a pet...Obsidian has the heart of many here at the Manhattan Care Center. He is right now stable but still being observed. We would love for sweet Obsidian to find an adopter or a foster who knows and loves to care for pets with special needs.
