My story

Meet Ellie, our calico queen with a heart as colorful as her coat. This young beauty came to us pregnant and, after a challenging delivery, brought three precious kittens into the world. She was the most patient, loving mama, and now that her babies have all been adopted, it’s Ellie’s time to shine. Ellie is a total sweetheart who thrives on human affection. She’s the type of cat who will greet you with gentle meows, rub up against your feet like you’re the best thing that’s ever happened to her, and settle in for snuggles as if she’s been yours forever. Her favorite pastimes? Drinking from her cat fountain, following you around for attention, and lounging like royalty. (Her foster calls her Cinder-Ellie, because she truly is the princess of the house.) She gets along fine with other pets, showing no reactivity to cats or dogs through a baby gate. She’s not overly playful—she’ll bat at a toy here and there—but she’s most content napping, soaking in the calm, and being near her people. Ellie is up to date on vaccinations, spayed, and currently living the good life in a foster home in Texas while she waits for her forever throne. Read below for more information. All our cats are fostered in Texas but available for transport out of state. Our cats are transported to a predetermined location agreed upon by the rescue. The adoption contract and fee are finalized prior to transport. As Mutts N Such direct adoption, the adoption interview/meet and greet occurs on video call (Skype, FB Messenger call, Facetime, etc). Our out of state adoption fee is $250 plus transport fee (varies by location). This fee includes age appropriate, vaccinations, registered microchip, testing for FIV and FELV, and a fecal analysis. Cats will be spayed/neutered if over 6 months of age. Cats will also be current on prevention. A health exam will be completed, and a certificate will be issued by a veterinarian within 10 days of departure. Note: MNS reserves the right to deny any application that is deemed unsuitable for the animal. Please be aware that our animal adoptions are NOT on a first come- first serve basis.
