My story

Gracie is an 8-year-old blue merle Australian Shepherd that is up for an adventure or some down time with her people. Her family situation has changed and her people just can’t give her the time and attention she needs. They are looking out for her best interests by helping her get into a home that will be best for her. When the family had more free time, they regularly hiked with her and she loved that. Gracie loves hiking, swimming, paddle boarding—really anything that gets her outside. She’s been more idle lately and that’s been hard for her. The ideal setting for her is in a home with person or people without young kids, or other pets. She really just wants to be the apple of your eye. She would love land to run, but can also do well with a fenced in yard and regular exercise. Her biggest desire is simply to be with her people. It doesn’t take much for her to claim someone as a friend—if she’s met you once, she’ll be over the moon to see you again. At home, she’s usually very calm and happy to follow the house rules. Gracie can be a little timid when it comes to new things. Shes not much of a barker, either. Though Gracie is young at heart and still very agile, she has a few bumps that have been medically found to be benign fatty lumps. Nothing of concern. Very typical. Gracie is an amazing dog who’ll keep you laughing with her reactions and expressive little face, and she’d love to join you for daily walks, hikes or adventures. Gracie is spayed, up to date on vaccines and is working on getting a microchip. She is being fostered in Redmond, OR. Her adoption fee is $300. To meet Gracie, please fill out an application at http://herduneededahome.com/adoption-process/. For questions, email hunahapps@gmail.com .

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Gracie, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
