Conan the Barbarian! How can we even describe such a dynamic guy with only the words in the English language?! We can’t! Conan is a meowveltasticful creature with the most elaborate and fantastical tales. He loves eating his wet food snacks, and doesn’t mind one bit that he needs to have a few meds mixed in - except that it slows his foster parents down and he needs those snacks RIGHT MEOW! Snacks on his nose, snacks in his whiskers… like a true barbarian, Coney doesn’t care! When he’s not yelling for snacks, Conan loves to ATTACK! his kicker toys and get lots of attention from his foster mom. He LOVES being petted, giving the best head bumps, and even likes to be picked up and held if it means he gets more kisses! Conan’s inner barbarian also has a tendency to come out when he gets overstimulated or when he is frustrated (usually because he wants more attention or he loses patience with a treat puzzle). A firm warning from his foster mom snaps him back into his civilized mode, and he will need his furever parents to make sure he stays on the up and up. Coney Baloney has struggled with multiple bouts of constipation, requiring him to stick to a prescription wet food diet with Enulose (lactulose) syrup added. He always happily eats his snacks and doesn’t care that some meds are mixed in! His family will need to pay attention to his litter box and make sure everything is moving through his digestive system properly. There is a corrective surgery for this condition, but it is not guaranteed to be successful, and he has been managing well with his wet food diet and supplements. Are you looking for a hunky sidekick who will “help” you with chores and impress your guests with his ameowzing story telling skills? Apply to adopt this spunky conversationalist today! Conan is cat friendly, and we suspect with a slow introduction he would be ok with having a dog friend. Conan is FIV+, which does not preclude him from safely having friendly cat siblings, but please discuss with your vet if you have any concerns. He is looking for a foster or adopted who will be able to integrate him into their home, as he does not appreciate being contained to one room in his current foster placement. July 13, 2025, 1:01 pm
