My story

Note: Currently at foster’s in Toronto 🐾 Background: Oreo was rescued last summer from a dog meat farm in Goesan, Korea. She spent her life confined to a filthy cage, surviving on inedible human food waste. After her rescue, she moved to our boarding house, where she lived with other dogs until she left Korea. Oreo currently lives in a foster home in Toronto. 🐾 Personality and Socialization: Initially shy especially around men, Oreo has blossomed into a friendly, social dog who welcomes visitors with a wagging tail and a big smile. She has a medium energy level and is calmer than most Labrador mixes. Gentle, friendly, and submissive, Oreo gets along well with dogs of all sizes. With people, she is affectionate and loving, always eager for attention. 🐾 Behaviour: Oreo is well-mannered and quiet indoors, rarely barking. She is excellent during baths and car rides and has shown no signs of separation anxiety or destructive behavior. She prefers to do her potty outdoors but will use indoor pads if necessary. She also walks well on a leash, staying close to her human. 🐾 Health and Diet: Oreo has undergone thorough veterinary checkups and is in great health. She is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccinations. She takes monthly parasite preventatives and eats kibble twice a day, with no known allergies. 🐾 Ideal Home: Oreo is an easygoing dog who would be a great match for first-time dog parents or families looking for a second dog. After enduring such a difficult past, she deserves a loving home where she’ll be cherished as a central part of the family. She would thrive with someone who works from home and can spend plenty of time with her, showering her with love and attention.
