My story

Jenny is currently in Guelph ON, waiting for her forever family. Background: Jenny was born to a brave mother who was rescued from the harsh dog meat trade. While her two brothers are now happily settled in Vancouver and Toronto, and her mother has found a loving home in Korea, it’s now Jenny’s turn. She lived peacefully with other dogs at our boarding house in Korea and is currently thriving in a foster home in Guelph, ON. Personality and Socialization: Jenny is a sweet, friendly dog with a medium energy level. She’s smart and easy-going, and enjoys playing with other dogs, especially those of similar size and energy. After some fun, she knows how to relax and is very laid-back. Jenny would be a great fit for a family looking for a second dog. While she can be a little shy around new people at first, once she warms up, she becomes very friendly and affectionate. Jenny has no expereinces with cats, and she tends to be a bit nervous around children. Behaviors: Jenny is a calm and well-behaved girl indoors. She doesn’t bark or cry, even when left alone. She also doesn’t bark at other dogs, people, or cars outside. She loves going for walks and navigates stairs very well. Jenny enjoys being petted and scratched and will let you know when she wants more attention by gently nudging you with her nose. She isn’t bothered by household noises like the vacuum cleaner, dishwasher, or laundry machine. She enjoys relaxing on the bed and especially loves soft, furry blankets. Jenny communicates her potty needs clearly, either by asking to go outside or using a pee pad reliably (she has no accidents!). You won’t have to worry about her being destructive; she doesn’t chew on things. Interestingly, Jenny seems to enjoy the smell of good perfume. She’s always happy to see her foster come home, greeting them with a wagging tail. Health and Diet: Jenny is spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date on all her vaccinations. She also takes monthly preventatives for internal and external parasites. She’s a healthy girl, ready to bring peace and love to her forever home. She enjoys dry kibbles twice a day. Currently, there are no known allergies. Ideal Home: The perfect adopter for Jenny would be someone with plenty of time to spend with her, perhaps someone who works from home or is retired. However, given her easy-going and calm nature, Jenny would likely thrive with most families. Her sweet and mild-mannered personality will make her a wonderful companion for anyone lucky enough to welcome her into their life.
