My story

Meet Murphy! 🐶 Male | Born January 7, 2024 | German Shepherd Mix Murphy is a gentle, soft-coated pup with a mostly black, fluffy coat and a heart full of love. His DNA results show he’s a one-of-a-kind blend: 31% German Shepherd, 20% American Pit Bull Terrier, 7% Chow Chow, 6% Golden Retriever, and 4% Boxer. Murphy is potty trained and is doing well on a leash, though he hasn’t had much exposure to the outside world yet. He can be a little timid at first, but once he feels safe, his sweet personality shines through. He gets along very well with other dogs in his foster home and is also good with cats. Murphy would do best in a calm, patient home where he can continue to grow in confidence and experience new things at his own pace. If you're looking for a loyal companion to nurture and love, Murphy may be your perfect match! All Heart of America dogs are altered, micro chipped and will have age-appropriate vaccines.
