My story

My name is Zeus and I came to the shelter as a transfer from another facility. I was reported to have been found in crate on someones porch, but otherwise not much is known about my history. I am a super happy and hyper boy who is taking some time to learn manners. I love my friends at the shelter and appreciate all the things they do to help me get my walks and adjust to my surroundings. I`ll need a patient owner who will give me some time and training, and I promise I will be the perfect boy!My adoption fee has been fully sponsored.Adopt me and pay $0.00!!!INSIGHTS FROM MY ADVENTURE BUDDIES:`Today was a great day with Zeus! We explored some nurseries where he sniffed every flower, then wandered around Carrboro soaking up all the sights (and attention!). When the rain hit, we took cover at Dingo Dog Brewery and Zeus found a cozy dog bed, played peekaboo with a sweet little girl (so gentle!), got lots of love and compliments from the crew, and eventually curled up and enjoyed his stuffed toy, more treats and a quick nap. Zeus is still young and can be mouthy like a puppy, but he responded well to gentle correction. With a little training, he’ll make an amazing (goofy and silly) sidekick. Until his forever people find him, I will enjoy all the time I can with him!``My husband and I took out Zeus for the day and really enjoyed spending time with him. He is a very sweet and affectionate dog and, at 43 pounds, is the perfect size. We took him for a short (due to the heat) hike at Caroline North Forest, which he loved. He easily walked past other dogs and people and didn`t show any reactivity. After the hike we stopped off at Weaver Street Market, where he enjoyed watching the other people and dogs. We then took him home where he could explore in the fenced backyard before going inside to get cool. It took some time for him to settle and relax in the house, and we made sure to have a stuffed toy to give him to prevent anxious mouthiness. He finally laid down with a big sigh

If you have any questions or would like to adopt ZEUS, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
