My story

Meet Shadow, the lab mix! Shadow became a victim of homelessness after his family moved and apparently "gave him away" to a careless stranger. Shadow was found by a Good Samaritan who stopped to help him upon seeing he had a massive gash on his shoulder that required immediate surgery. At the vet, a microchip was found and when the owner was contacted they didn't care about his condition and kept repeating they gave him away when they moved.  Shadow is completely recovered from his injury, very healthy and in good hands now! We feel lucky to have him because he is such a good boy! His lab genes definitely shine through. It's obvious that someone once took great care to train him- he knows many commands including sit, shake, lay down, comes to his name, house trained and lets you know when he needs to go outside. He's a super smart boy! He loves the dog park, car rides, walks and is good on a leash. He's not a big barker. Shadow is delicate and sweet, loves other dogs and also doesn't mind having cat buddies! He's the perfect family dog as he adores children. Shadow is a perfect companion and he needs a family who will love him the way he loves! Shadow has exhibited some separation anxiety since coming to Colorado, understandably from being bounced around, and just needs someone to help give him some patience while he decompresses in their home, help build his confidence and reinforce that he is in his furever home. Shadow has made the journey North from San Antonio, Texas to Denver, Colorado and is available to meet! ##2315482##
