My story

Steve is our sweet senior Chihuahua mix - he's estimated to be around 7yo and is as cute as can be. Our staff describes him as being "great on walks - he loves to nibble on toys, play fetch, and spend time with others. He's gotten along well with all dogs and humans that we've introduced him to, and seems to really enjoy others company. We think he would do best in a home with someone who is around often, and would probably love another dog companion."  If you're interested in meeting Steve, please fill out our foster or adoption application. Our team will reach out after reviewing your application if it seems like a good fit. Steve is a part of Thrive's Forever Family Program, meaning that Thrive Animal Rescue will provide coverage of all medical costs associated with age-related care to his adopter. Our goal is to keep our seniors happy, healthy, and comfortable as they continue to live out their golden years. You provide the love, we'll take care of some of the cost. Details on coverage will be provided to interested applicants.
