My story

What do you get when you cross a Husky and a German Shepherd? A dog who is 50% goofy and 50% athletic. Meet Rai, the embodiment of these two amazing breeds. His striking multicolored eyes and classic black and tan coloring perfectly reflect his parentage and have combined to produce a hilarious and gentle companion. He is both playful and calm, athletic and awkward, curious and reserved, cuddly and independent, resilient and affectionate, and strikingly handsome. Rai is a very affectionate boy. He is happy to calmly accept pets and cuddles, rest in his crate, or play with both humans and canine companions. The companion he was found with is about half his size, and when they play, he frequently does 'play bows' and will lay down so his little friend can more easily engage with him. He likes toys, and will awkwardly throw them around while prancing with stiff legs and a goofy smile. However, he is mostly interested in toys as a way to interact with people and other dogs. He loves to be chased, trotting around with a toy in his mouth, but when the other dog loses interest, he will often drop the toy and walk away, as if he never cared about the toy in the first place. We believe he would be cat workable.  Rai is on track to reach a healthy weight of 58lbs. ##2379630##

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Rai, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
