Savannah von Schleiz

My story

Savannah von Schleiz is a quintessential 18 month old German Shepherd. She is a loving and smart girl who is housebroken and walks well on leash, meeting dogs with her calm energy. Savannah has been in a foster home with small, medium and large dogs and does well with all of them. She is even good with CATS, preferring to steer clear over interacting. Savannah takes treats gently, is learning how to play with toys and chase a ball. She is very responsive to correction and is quiet but alerts when needed. Savannah's favorite thing is her people. She will snuggle into your lap and look at you adoringly as you stroke her soft fur. She will even sneak in some kisses. This gentle, beautiful, unassuming girl will show her appreciation for you every day of her life. Will you be her forever family? Mixes are "softer" and somewhat more malleable. Exceptions can be made, however, for first-time adopters who show the confidence and leadership tendencies that purebreds will respect and respond to. Counselors have to use good judgment in assessing the attributes of the adopter, as well as of the dog. If you have doubts, get a second opinion from Robin or another experienced counselor.
