My story

Meet Luca! This sweet and handsome young black Labrador Retriever is just under a year old and weighs a comfortable 34 pounds. He's already shown he enjoys the company of other dogs and was happy to greet his caregivers. While he's still learning about leash manners, Luca willingly allowed his caregiver to pick him up when it was time to go into his crate. Luca arrived a little unsure of new situations and people, but he's already making wonderful progress in his foster home. His foster mom is thrilled with his quick adjustment, saying, "I can’t believe how quickly he went from being quite fearful to curling up at my feet." Like many young pups, Luca is still gaining confidence in certain areas. He's learning that hands over his head are nothing to worry about, and he prefers to enjoy his meals without close company. His foster mom is so encouraged by his eagerness to connect, sharing, "But the malleability of a puppy 🥰 he is following me whenever I move and still asking for pets and scratches." Luca is a loving and adaptable boy who is blossoming beautifully and ready to find his forever family!
