My story

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Mary Ann Bright   Ms. Mary Ann Bright has a bit of a long story. This sweet, petite lady has had a rough start to life. Almost a year ago she started hanging around our house. Through the summer her ever growing belly signaled she was pregnant. We tried to befriend her but she was not quite ready to be our friend, only a few feet would be allowed. Fast forward to September 2024. No more pregnant belly and no kittens following her around. What happened to them we do not know. Fall of 2024 we started feeding her regularly and noticed she was gaining weight. She still wouldn’t let us get too close to her. By December 2024, we were sure she was pregnant. And after a couple months of feeding her, she let us pet her. Once she trusted us she was the sweetest baby: meowing at our door, sleeping close to our house. We purchased her a heated cat house, but with the looming frigid temps coming the first week in January 2025, we finally got her into our house. She was taken to a vet, treated for a parasite, and started to make herself comfortable in our daughter’s bedroom. On January 27, Mary Ann delivered 5 healthy kittens. She was a doting mama and took great care of her babies. Now it’s her time to relax and take her reign as a permanent lap warmer. As her foster family we feel Mary Ann may do best in a quieter home. She has been through a lot and deserves to relax. She does love kids, but we suggest over the age of 7.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 30, 2025, 5:14 pm
