My story

Hi, I’m Annabelle—a gentle soul with a shy heart, but I’m learning that the world isn’t so scary after all. I’ve had a tough start, so I take my time getting to know new people. At first, I’m cautious and quiet, but once I trust you, I’ll be your loyal, loving companion.I’m fully housetrained, and I love my crate—it’s my safe space, and I’ll even go in it on my own when you leave the house (you don’t even have to close the door). I also know how to sit and stay indoors, and I’m working on “lay down.” I walk well on a leash, enjoy calm time in the yard, and I’ve discovered that car rides are fun—even though I’m still figuring out how to get in gracefully.I get along with other dogs and am slowly learning how to play. I don’t chew on things I shouldn’t, and I stay off the furniture. I prefer wet food (especially at night) and am still unsure about toys or treats—but with your patience and kindness, I know I’ll come around.I might never be the boldest dog in the room, but I will be the one who quietly watches over you, offers soft love, and is always there when you need someone steady and sweet. I’m ready for a calm, gentle home where I can continue to blossom at my own pace.My adoption fee is $50Annabelle is part of our Home to Home Program. Although they are not a Pawmetto Lifeline dog, they have received the same high standards of care. Vaccinations and spay/neuter are included in the adoption fee.
