KNOWN WITH DOGS: Laverne has lived with a sibling previously, but in Homeward Trails playgroups, she has preferred to seek human attention. KNOWN WITH CATS: We do not currently know how Laverne is with cats. If that is needed, let us know and we'll work on getting that information! KNOWN WITH KIDS: We do not know how Laverne is with children, though she is a bit nervous around a lot of hustle and bustle. KNOWN CUES: Laverne is currently too nervous to show us her tricks and skills. KNOWN HOUSEBREAKING &/OR CRATING: The crate is Laverne's safe space and she prefers spending time in it. KNOWN LIKES: People who move at Laverne's speed, chasing balls, sniffing around. KNOWN DISLIKES: Lots of hustle and bustle. ABOUT THIS ANIMAL: Laverne was found as a stray with her sister Shirley by a rural partner shelter in Smyth County. She is pretty nervous about the big change of moving to the busy urban environment of Northern Virginia! Laverne needs a family who can work with her patiently to help her come out of her shell and learn about her new area - could it be you? Laverne was spayed before coming to Homeward Trails.
