My story

Meet Storm! Doesn't everyone love a good Storm! We know we sure do! Storm is a recent arrival to HAP where he came from a partner shelter. Being a young pup, Storm has a lot of energy and a very outgoing and curious personality. He's very smart and food motivated so the sky's the limit in terms of what you could train this pup to do! Storm has made a few doggy friends but can play a little rough so does best with canine friends that can teach him manners but also keep up with him. He can still get very excited because I mean life is just so awesome and so much fun that sometimes he can get jumpy and overexcited so would do best with dog savvy kids or older children. Thankfully, Storm knows how to entertain himself to keep busy and you will often find him tossing his toys around as he happily chases after them. So if you're looking for a bright, active, fun-loving, playful pup to take on all of life's adventures - Storm is the pup for you! Puppies require a significant amount of structure, routine, time, patience, and training to learn how to behave properly in a home. The first few months of having a puppy is a critical time to establish boundaries and help your puppy understand what they can expect from you and what you expect from them. Remember, puppies aren’t born knowing how to live in a human’s world, it is up to you to teach them how to make good decisions in a positive and caring manner. The more positive interactions they have in their first year of life will set them up for better behavior in the future. If you are interested in adopting this dog, please submit an adoption questionnaire! Our adoption process is on a first-come, best-match basis and we are not able to hold animals. If you are interested in this specific dog but it ends up not being the best fit upon meeting, our adoption counselors will work with you to help find a match! All household members, including children and other dogs, must come along for the meeting to make sure it's a good fit. If a match is made, we encourage same-day adoptions! Our adoption fees include the animals' spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, fecal testing, heartworm testing, and a small bag of food to get you started.
