My story

✅Currently located in South Korea✅️ 💟Available to fly to SEA💟 Meet Saero💕 Saero was found severely neglected in Yangjeon-dong, Gimje, with 1.7kg of matted fur weighing him down. After persistent persuasion, his former owner signed a relinquishment agreement, allowing Saero to be rescued. He’s now receiving ongoing medical care and love at the center. • With People: With familiar people, he joyfully wags his tail and even lets out happy barks. He responds well on walks and takes treats nicely. He’s shy around strangers and won’t approach first. If someone tries to pet him, he may initially run but stays still and accepts touch once contact is made. • With Dogs: Saero prefers solitude and doesn’t initiate play. If another dog tries to engage, he clearly expresses disinterest but never reacts aggressively—just calmly keeps to himself. • With Cats: Unknown • Separation Anxiety: Does well when left alone and relaxes calmly. • House Training: Uses indoor pee pads well and also relieves himself outdoors. May display occasional indoor marking—currently under training. • Hygiene/Grooming: Initially squirmed during his first bath but quickly adapted. Doesn’t enjoy drying, especially around the head, but tolerates brushing and grooming well. • Walking on Leash: Walks well with minimal pulling. He may try to choose his own path, but gently guiding the leash brings him back in line. • Car Sickness: Rides comfortably and calmly in the car. 💌Special Notes💌 • During grooming, he once turned his head and opened his mouth due to discomfort but did not bite—only gave a warning gesture. • May bark a bit when seeing people or wanting to go into a kennel. • Still startled by sudden touches—needs a gentle approach. • Already responds somewhat to name-calling—shows signs of being a quick learner! • Known for his quiet, gentle nature. Everyone at the center agrees Saero is “such a good dog.” ❗ Health Status❗ Currently under heartworm treatment; scaling completed; eyelid mass removal surgery completed; receiving topical treatment and medicated baths twice a week for skin rash. Wears a cone for protection and requires attentive care.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Saero, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
