My story

Pixie is a sweet, gentle soul with a goofy side who’s ready to find her forever family. Most of the time she’s a total couch potato, but every now and then she surprises everyone with a case of the zoomies! She’s calm, affectionate, and loves nothing more than snuggling up with her people — especially if it means being a lap dog.Pixie is crate trained, walks politely on leash (no pulling!), and is mostly house trained, with only the occasional accident if left alone for too long. She adores attention and will happily soak up pets and love from her family. While she can be a little pushy or stubborn at times, it’s all part of her goofy charm. This girl loves to play! Her favorite activities include sniffing on walks, playing with other dogs, and keeping busy with toys and puzzle games. Hard plastic toys, crinkle toys, and squeaky toys are her absolute favorites. Pixie is friendly toward just about every living creature she meets, and she has done well around children. That said, Pixie does have a few quirks. She doesn’t love the car, but she tolerates rides. Grooming isn’t her favorite (especially her hips and feet), and she can be fearful of loud noises, fast movements, and new people at first. With a little patience, though, she warms up quickly and shows her affectionate side.Pixie’s foster mom believes she would thrive in a slow-paced, quiet home with another dog to play with. She’s the perfect mix of snuggly lap dog and playful goofball — ready to bring joy and laughter to her forever family.Favorite treats: Anything ediblePlease call (970) 226-3647 to inquire about meeting Pixie!

If you have any questions or would like to adopt PIXIE, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
