My story

Meet Charlie!Charlie is an adorable, short and stocky little Chihuahua, about 10 years old and 15 pounds of pure sweetness. He came to us after his owner could no longer care for him, but he’s settling in beautifully.Charlie is house trained, well-behaved in a home, and has a friendly, laid-back personality. He loves people of all ages and gets along great with other dogs. (Cats, however, are not his cup of tea!)He takes daily supplements for an old injury that healed a bit imperfectly, but he’s otherwise a healthy, happy guy who’s ready for his next adventure.If you’re looking for a loving, easygoing companion, Charlie would love to meet you!IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. If you are seeing our pets posted in your state, that's because you live near a transport stop, they are not currently at that location. Petfinder lists our pets as 'Out of Town' pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it.
