My story

Meet Aspen! A pitbull puppy from our Winter Litter, Aspen aka Aspen Maire, is a spunky, cuddly girl who is ready to find her forever family! She can be a bit shy and timid when she first meets new people or dog friends, but once she warms up, she will quickly become your best friend. She is an active girl who loves to run and play, but also loves to melt into your lap for a good cuddle and nap session. She likes to play with toys and bones, play with her foster siblings, and bask in the sunshine. She has typical puppy energy and interests! Aspen has shown some signs of separation anxiety when her humans have to leave, and thus will need someone who is patient, calm, and willing to commit to working through this with her, as well as investing in her training. She isn’t the biggest fan of getting into a crate on her own but does well once in the crate. Aspen is working on leash training and basic commands - she already knows “sit,” “outside,” and her name. Progress with potty training has been slow, but with continued practice and positive reinforcement, she will get the hang of it. She will do best with children who are a little older or have experience with dogs. She is dog friendly, cat friendly, and even bunny friendly! She does get a little overzealous and wants to chase cats but only when they run from her. Aspen’'s ideal home is one with a balance of active and laidback where there's just as much cuddle time as there is playtime. She needs someone who is patient, loving, understanding, and committed to her training and working through her anxieties. Applicants MUST have an adult dog in the home! Your adult dog will accompany you during the meet and greet, and will help select the best match based on the winter-actions we observe. who gravitates toward you and your dog. Adoption fee is $325 and covers spay/neuter when age appropriate at our vet, vaccines to date of adoption, deworming, microchip, and a clean bill of health.
