My story

Meet Buttercup!Buttercup came into the shelter as a mama with her one baby, Westley. Buttercup was a fantastic mom and is an even more amazing cat! Unfortunately, upon having a vet exam, we discovered that both Buttercup and Westley had heart murmurs. Thankfully, Westley has been adopted, but his mama is still waiting to find her forever home!While Buttercup's heart murmur is a bit more advanced than her son's, it doesn't stop her from being a happy-go-lucky and energetic lovebug! Buttercup is highly affectionate and loves being around people, playing, and snuggling. She especially likes belly rubs!As of now, Buttercup is not on any medication but will require yearly vet visits to monitor her heart and may need medication in the future. Her condition may shorten her lifespan, which is why we are set on finding her a loving home where she will experience the least stress possible!This special girl has so much love to give and is desperate to get out of the shelter and find her person. She seems to enjoy the company of cats with calmer and more docile temperaments but will not do well with dogs in the home. Primary Color: Grey Weight: 9.8 Age: 1yrs 1mths 3wks
