My story

Hello! My name is Hazel!I`m a sweet little thing who enjoys rolling around in the grass...or on the stone path...or on the pavement. I really just love rolling around! I also love fetch and am pretty good at it. I can be a bit nervous in new situations and with new people so I`m hoping to join a home where my humans will recognize my signs of nervousness and advocate for me so people don`t accidentally overwhelm me. I know I`m cute and squishable but I prefer a slow introduction. Once I feel safe with you, I will be affectionate and snuggly and show you my silly self!MY IDEAL HOME INVOLVES…CHILDREN: Teenagers may be ok. Given I can be timid, I wouldn’t be ideal for a home with young children. OTHER DOGS: Yes, with a friendly dog.CATS: Potentially, with a cat confident around dogs.FIRST-TIME DOG OWNERS: Potentially, if you have dog experience and will recognize my signs of nervousness and help build my confidence in new situations or with new people. FENCED-IN YARD: Not necessarily.HOUSING ENVIRONMENT: Any. SOMEONE HOME MOST OF THE DAY: Not necessarily.SOME OTHER THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT ME…ACTIVITY LEVEL: Medium. HOUSE-TRAINED: I do have accidents in my kennel but with a consistent routine, frequent outings and praise when I go outside, I will be on track in no time!
