CHICO

My story

At 16 years young, Chico found himself dropped off by his family at the animal shelter with statements that he was too old and unwell to keep on living. Despite this, Chico has found a new life running and jumping around his new foster home. His coat and eyes may give an indication of his real age, but Chico has the heart of a puppy. He prances around with his large happy tongue hanging out of his mouth. The only thing holding Chico back is the fact that he is severely overweight, but he has been working on his fitness plan and making great progress. He needs to lose a few more pounds and then he will be ready for a good dental cleaning. Chico enjoys light play with his foster siblings, long naps in bed, and FOOD! He always wakes up to the smell of food. Chico is great at communicating what he wants, he will nudge you and lick you to pet him and he will bark when he wants to go outside. He is an old man, so accidents can happen, but he has been good about going potty outside.
