My story

When Elroy first arrived at THS, he was in rough shape — emaciated, depressed, and barely able to stand. But this sweet guy has made a full recovery and is now ready to find his forever home!Elroy absolutely loves people. He’ll hop right into your lap, lean in for pets, and gently nudge your hand if you stop. He enjoys human company so much that, when left alone in our play yard, he dug under the fence just to find someone to be with — so supervised outdoor time is a must!Elroy also has a playful, goofy side. He loves rolling in the grass, chasing after leaves, and proudly carrying them around in his mouth. If you`re looking for a loyal, affectionate companion with a touch of charm and silliness, Elroy might just be your perfect match!Elroy has met another dog at the shelter and was more people-focused. With a slow and calm introduction, he may do well with a relaxed canine companion who respects his space.Adopters will have the option of fostering him for one week through our foster to adopt program to determine if he is a good fit for your home prior to finalizing his adoption!Stop by THS to meet him today!
