There is an adorable video of me on social media! Click here to experience the cuteness! My foster writes:Meet Brooklyn! A loving senior gal who may just be the biggest snuggle bug there ever was! (Also responds to her nicknames: Brooks, Brookie Cookie & Beazy!)Brooklyn is a 10 year old German Shepherd but don't let her age fool you, she's full of life and loves spending time with people (wether it be a cuddle session or a walk outside)! She is incredibly friendly and obedient. She knows multiple commands in both Spanish & English (yup, you heard that right, she's bilingual!).Brooklyn has no problem napping all day while you are working or busy, making her the perfect companion for the working New Yorker! She's very easy to care for and can adapt to any schedule that works best for you!Are you someone who likes to sleep in? So does Brooklyn! Are you more of an early morning person? Not to fear, she will enthusiastically wake up for an early morning stroll. This girl thrives off being near you and is happy to do whatever you want to! Her favorite spot to be is right next to you!She is also very quiet and potty trained, making her the perfect dog for apartment/city life.Brooklyn is one of a kind, and one of the most amazing pups I have met. She is such a lover and so resilient after all she has been through. I love her very dearly and know she will make her future adopters so happy! What my friends at ACC say about me:I have medical needs that staff will address with you when you meet me.I would do best in a home without very tiny humans, although I could be open to older human children once I meet them.I'm ready to learn! I need a patient person who has the time to work on training with me.I would appreciate slow introductions to new people and places to help me feel safe.I prefer to call the shots and enjoy coming to you when I'm ready for pets.A Volunteer Wrote: This gentle, mature lady is brilliant, as so many Shepherds are, beginning with the fact that she's bilingual and understands both Spanish and English! Brooklyn is unerringly sweet, but understandably tentative to find herself in the shelter after so many years in a home. Brooklyn hurt our hearts even more than they already hurt when any senior dog suddenly goes from being a part of a family to a stranger in a strange place: Her former owner says she is scared of loud noises, and this is a shelter filled with them. Please, won't you open your home to this gorgeous girl to live out the rest of her life with love and peace? Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: Tan Weight: 49 Age: 10yrs 2mths 0wks
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Brooklyn, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
