My story

Hi! My name is Patty Pat and I am from Missouri. From her foster: Patty Pat is a cautious cutie. If an "introvert at a party 10 minutes too long" was a personality, it would be her. She would be pleased as punch to be in a quiet house where her humans like to read books on a gray and rainy day. Due to her previous human experiences, she is cautious when learning her new surroundings and might shy away when you walk towards her. When you sit down, Patty Pat will come right up to you for some snuggles. Her previous owners may have taught her to not be on the furniture because every time her foster mom tries to sit with her on the sofa and cuddle, she pops right down, still sticking around for some head pats. She is good with other dogs, but will definitely protect her safe space. Which is currently a crate or a dog bed next to her foster's WFH office set up. She retreats to either when she is startled or just for a long nap. She is not a chatty girl, having only barked 1-2 times since she came to her foster parents. She is potty trained and leash trained and had only introductory marking accidents in the house. Her pretty two-toned eyes sparkle and she loves to be by an open door of a screened patio.
