My story

DOB: March 8th, 2018 Apollo is a super affectionate companion cat who has a healthy appetite and loves to play. He loves to be around, sitting close to his human. Where ever you go, Apollo will be right there with you! He loves his head scratches but hates to be brushed or picked up. He is chatty in a trilling sort of way and when you need to have a conversation with him he looks you straight in the eye. Apollo loves burrowing himself between the covers or under pillows. He will also run around playing hide and seek with you even if you aren't playing. When his head is being scratched and he wants you to continue giving him affection, sometimes Apollo will gently give you his 'love bites'. Which is him just opening his mouth on you and giving you his wet nose. His 'love bites' are accompanied by head bumps and purring. At the beginning in his sanctuary space, Apollo was immediately affectionate, anxious and wanting to be close. When he was released from the sanctuary space he was tentative and unsure but then settled into his foster home quickly. He is a very expressive cat who loves to be close. He has never jumped up on food counters, though he does have a habit of jumping up on the kitchen table while you may be eating and/or have zoom meetings. Apollo also likes to nibble the ends of fern plants but he hasn’t taken an interest in other plants.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Apollo, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
