My story

All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, shots current (DHPP, Bordetella and Rabies where applicable), dewormed, flea and tick treated, and microchipped.  * If you are interested in a dog, please first read the biography on the dog (keep scrolling down for the bio!) and then go to our website, www.dpsrescue.com for an application. Our adoption fees vary. Each biography will specifically list the adoption fee.This dog will be at Palo Alto Pet Food Express on Saturday, May 3rd from 12-3pm or until adopted. If you would like the first opportunity to adopt, please fill out an application to be considered. His mornings begin with a joyful dash outside, a tail-wagging breakfast, and then it’s time for his favorite daily activity: being with you. Whether you work from home, run errands, or head to the office (Googlers, looking at you), Loofah is ready to be your constant companion. He’s just as happy snoozing at your feet as he is gazing lovingly into your soul during your video calls.   On walks, he trots happily along, sometimes adding a little zigzag flair to your route—call it his signature style. He’s polite around other dogs, calm in new environments, and a total star when it comes to being admired in public. (Yes, people will stop to compliment him. Get ready.)   His foster family has endless praise for this sweet boy. “He’s ridiculously handsome,” they say, “but what really gets you is his gentle heart. He tries so hard to be good. He wants to make you proud. And when he lies on his back like a fuzzy teddy bear, it’s game over—you’re in love.”   Loofah is house-trained, well-mannered, and loves a good nap in the car, on the couch, or curled up beside you. He’s been bathed, groomed, brushed, and even had ticks removed without complaint—because once he trusts you, he gives you everything.   Looking for a loyal companion who fits seamlessly into your life, keeps you company at your desk, and showers you with love?
