My story

Meet Manny, the awe-inspiring 2-year-old gentle giant who`s ready to steal your heart! Weighing in at a whopping 120 lbs, this lovable Fila Brasileiro (or perhaps a Fila Boerboel mix) is not just about size; he`s all about love. Don’t let his stature intimidate you—Manny is the epitome of a big-hearted companion, always eager to shower you with affection and yearning for your love in return. He is a strong puller on leash but has been fitted with an Easy Walk harness that is a gift to his future adopter.Despite his size, Manny is incredibly people-friendly and seeks out affection from everyone he meets. He came into the shelter with his female friend and her adorable puppies, showcasing his nurturing spirit. Though he has not learned any commands and isn’t motivated by treats or toys just yet, this gentle soul would thrive with your guidance and support. Manny can get a bit jumpy when excited but redirects well with gentle corrections.Manny recently met some social female dogs at our shelter and did fine.  He was a little socially awkward and got a little scared when a much smaller female initiated play.  Looking for a buddy for your dog?  Bring him/her to the shelter for a meet and greet and see if we`re a match!  Check out his playgroup video here:To meet me, visit the Bradshaw Animal Shelter Tuesday-Sunday, Noon - 5:00 pm, Wednesdays, Noon - 6:00 pm. All adoptions are on a first-come, first-served basis. To help expedite the meet and greet process, please make note of my Animal ID number, and those of other dogs you might be interested in meeting. Be sure to bring your ID with you, too.
