My story

Kurt is a happy, wiggly boy with a big heart and a playful spirit! Recently returned after just one week through no fault of his own—his adopter had an unexpected move—Kurt has taken it all in stride and is ready for his real forever. He’s always up for a walk and gets excited when he sees the leash. Once outside, Kurt shows his sweet and silly side—soliciting pets, staying loose and wiggly, and happily engaging with toys. He’s gentle with treats, friendly with handling, and a total goofball when he plays. Kurt would love an active home that will give him stability, lots of affection, and some continued training to help him learn cues. He’s got all the makings of a fun and loyal best friend—he just needs someone who’s in it for good this time. I showed him the leash and he sprung up and came to the front and it was easy to loop. He pulled moderately to the pen, and once in the pen, he allowed all body handling, with a metal tail, wagging, ears back and soft eyes. He solicited a lot more petting and attention from me maintaining loose and wiggly body language. He is very playful with toys and allowed me to approach him while he had a toy and touch the toy in his mouth while remaining loose and wiggly. When offering him treats, he takes them gently and will jump for them and did not respond to any cues like sit or lay down. He was easy to return to kennel.
