Monk lost her home, along with her housemates Pinky, Miss Pita and Tomasino because her Mom faced eviction. Monk has lived in a multiple cat household with 2 small dogs and children ages 14-16. Monk is shy with strangers and will run and hide when someone visits. With her Mom she is incredibly affectionate and cuddly and will flop herself down to lay on her chest and loves it when she wraps her robe or sweater around her. She loves to follow Mom around, but that's not surprising since she was bottlefed by her Mom so she really considers her to be her mother. Sometimes she likes to cuddle in bed with her, but then will eventually move down to the foot of the bed. She loves to be held and rocked and wrapped in a blanket, she is the little baby of the family and it breaks her Mom's heart to let her go. Monk loves the other cats and is very social with them. She loves Pinky and will follow him around and nap with him. She loves her cat tree and likes to nap there too. Monk was a runt as a kitten and her cat mom rejected her so her human Mom had to take over her care. She appears to have some sort of congenital defect of her back legs as they are not as strong as they should be and she has a hard time jumping up on the bed and needs to be picked up sometimes. Also, when she walks, she kind of hops like a bunny and her legs are wider apart which makes it look like she's wiggling a bit when she walks. It doesn't seem to bother her at all. Monk tolerates the dogs in the household but she doesn't love them, she is more of a cat's cat. She loves playing with Pinky, although he can be a little too rough in play for her liking sometimes. She does her best to keep up with him though. All animals are up-to-date on vaccinations (including rabies if over 4 months old), microchipped, and spayed or neutered. All dogs have been been vaccinated with DHPP and Bordatella (kennel cough) and heartworm tested negative (if over 6 months). All cats have been vaccinated with FVRCP and current on flea control.
