My story

A volunteer writes:I wonder if Squeak, owned since kittenhood, was her name all along? Squeak was surrendered as she had become very vocal over the last month, a bit restless too and apparently had been diagnosed by a private veterinarian as hyperthyroid. Squeak was brought without any medication to the care center but after doing our own work up, we did confirm that she was indeed hyperthyroid and started her right away on the proper medication. Squeak is a lovely middle aged dame, a lively tiger who is quite welcoming and friendly, playful too with feather wands and catnip toys. She does vocalize and goes quickly from one activity to another but as the medicine, very soon,  will work its magic, lovely Squeak will relax and resume a calmer disposition. I had such a cat few years ago and, well, I treated him with success without any issue. Pretty Squeak is said to be a really nice kitty, friendly, playful, gentle and loving. She will get better and be once again the perfect little gem she was. Come and meet Squeak very soon at the Manhattan Care Center.Cheek and chin scratches make me so happy!I have been known to shower my favorite people in love!I am a cat that is in need of a lap! I can't wait to be your new lap cat.I'm sensitive and shy. I'll need extra help from you.I would do best in a home without very tiny humans, although I could be open to older human children once I meet them. Primary Color: Tabby Weight: 8.7 Age: 8yrs 1mths 1wks

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Squeak, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
