My story

If you’re looking for a big, goofy, gorgeous lab who’s ready to be your new best friend, say hello to Freddy! This handsome pup is still new to Open Door, but we have a feeling he won’t be here long. He turns heads everywhere he goes and charms everyone he meets. Freddy is a typical young lab: friendly, playful, and bursting with energy. He’s done great with everyone so far, including kids, and he’s always ready to make new friends. As a large puppy, he’ll need an adopter who’s ready to keep up with his active lifestyle. Long walks, playtime, and fetch marathons are all right up his alley. Fetch is his favorite, and he’s really good at it. He’ll even drop his toy on cue, as long as you’re ready to throw the next one. He also loves carrying things in his mouth (classic lab), including his leash sometimes, which just adds to his goofy charm. And here’s some extra good news. Freddy already seems to be doing a great job holding his potty between breaks. If you’ve been wanting a puppy but aren’t quite up for those round-the-clock bathroom trips, Freddy might be the perfect compromise. If you’re looking for a fun-loving, adventure-ready dog who’s just waiting to grow into your perfect partner, Freddy might be your guy.
