GEMMA NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!!   Name:   Gemma           Best Guess for Breed:     Shepherd and beagle mix     Best Guess for Age: 7 months as of June 14th        SEX:     Female   Estimated Weight (still has some growing to do!):   25.8 lbs as of 6/1/25   Gets Along With:  Other dogs! We haven't seen her with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters!   Currently Living at:  DC area foster home Gemma is Looking For:  Hiya! I'm Gemma! My sister Gina and I have enjoyed growing up together but now we're ready to split up and find our own humans. I'm looking for a home that will let me play with toys and get my puppy zoomies out and give me snuggles in between playtimes. I can't wait to explore my new neighborhood on lots of walks - I've got that beagle nose!  I'd really like to make a bunch of doggie friends along the way. And to take an obedience class so I can show you how smart I am.  In exchange I'll give you adoring gazes and loyal companionship for all my days. What do you say? Do I get to grow up with you? What My Foster Says About Me: Are you looking for a fun-loving companion, with lots of energy, whose love for tennis balls is boundless? Then look no further than Gemma. Gemma is equal parts playful, curious, and snuggly. She is up for whatever her humans are doing. Are you watching TV? She's in! Do you want to go for a hike, spend time in a park, or go to your kids' sporting events? She can't wait to tag along! Gemma has lots of puppy energy and is eager to play with you, squeaky toys, or other dogs. Although Gemma has all kinds of puppy energy to burn, she is super snuggly and can be pretty calm when she's had a long, hard play session or long walk. She has lived with cats and a dog. On walks, she loves to sniff and would like to be an honorary member of the squirrel patrol. Gemma is treat motivated so training sessions are fun.  Gemma is truly the best mix of energetic, gentle, loving, curious, and snuggly there is. She will make the perfect companion and you will never understand how you lived without her!
