SASSER NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!!   Name:    Sasser        Best Guess for Breed:    Border collie and lab mix   Best Guess for Age:   5 months as of April 2025           SEX:   Male    Estimated Weight (puppies' weights change quickly!):    23 lbs as of 4/14/25   Gets Along With:  Most puppies are in the prime of their socialization window and will do well with other dogs, cats and kids so long as they receive patience and proper training.   Currently Living at:  DC area foster home   Special Adoption Considerations:       Puppies under 6 months of age need to have multiple potty breaks/exercise throughout the day. Potential adopters with a standard 8-hour workday must be willing to make arrangements to meet the needs of their puppy.  Sasser is Looking For:   His forever home! This adorable guy is ready to break out of the shelter and experience all that life has to offer. Sasser is looking for someone who's eager for a super smart cookie for bonding through training and world exploration! He's still a puppy, too, so plenty of play and snuggles are high on her list too. Most of all, he wants to know who his humans are, where he belongs, and that he's safe and loved for all his days.   What do you say? Does Sasser get to show you what an amazingly loving and loyal companion he is?    What My Foster Says About Me: Sasser is that once-in-a-million chill puppy with the face of a rock star.  You just can't look away from those deep eyes and ears that won't stop.  But when you do look away, it's ok, because Sasser is sitting right there beside you, gazing at you the same way you look at him.  Sasser loves all the basics - a comfy bed, a friend by his side, and a nice long walk when you're ready.  But he's willing to wait for you to be ready for a walk.  He doesn't have an insistent bone in his body.  When you do take him for a walk, he's a goofy puppy, ready to explore at your pace.  Very little leash pulling for this nice boy.  He's also great in a car - just finds his place to settle in, preferably where he can keep an eye on his person. Sasser lives with another dog and gets along well with my resident dog.  No competition for food or bed space for this young dog.  Sasser is just looking for his forever home, where he can nap peacefully, knowing he's home forever.     Your new puppy will need to work on their house training and will also need to go to obedience school so they can grow into a well-socialized dog!  TO ADOPT:       The adoption fee for this puppy is $485, which includes the cost of routine vetting and transport from the shelter.    If you are interested in adopting, please complete the Adoption Questionnaire online bit.ly/adoptaluckydog   Lucky Dog Animal Rescue does our best to provide accurate information about the dogs we have for adoption.
