My story

Meet Cindy! Cindy is a curious little lady who likes to explore on her own terms.  Cindy loves wand toys, relaxing on a favorite window perch and hanging out on a screened in patio at her foster home. She's very chill and loves to sit on your lap and snuggle at night. Cindy is searching for a family to provide her with a loving and caring environment.  Cindy has a condition that causes her to walk with a wobble and limp in her hind legs, but it hasn’t slowed her down or stopped her from being a love. In fact, her movements make her all the more endearing. Cindy has been evaluated by the rescue's partner vet.  The causation of the ataxia could be a number of factors, including a congenital condition or the residual impact of an old injury or infection.  Cindy does not need any special care or require daily medications at this time.  She is able to navigate getting into litter boxes, stairs and can "hop" onto a welcoming lap! Cindy is looking for an adopter comfortable with continuing to monitor and adapt as her needs may (or may not) change over the years.  A member of the team is open to answer any questions with approved applicants.   Cindy has a plush coat with dilute calico markings.   Her birthday is estimated to be in March 2023. She has tested negative for Felv/FIV, up-to-date on vaccinations, spayed, microchipped and treated for fleas/dewormed. Cindy lives comfortably in her foster home with other cats, feline-savvy dogs and people of all ages.    Our team is open to discussing with approved applicants the possibility of a long-term foster placement for Cindy.  In a long-term foster placement the goal is to connect special animals with individuals in the community who are interested in caring for a pet.  The rescue will provide supply and vetting support as needed.
