My story

Sally is a lovely and petite girl with a short tortoiseshell coat and a loving personality. She's a youngster at nearly 2 years old and came to the shelter with her six babies because their human companion could not care for them. Ask to meet this wide-eyed beauty in our Cat Room. Sally spent several weeks at the home of a shelter staff member who can tell you more about her personality. ~ All of our cats and kittens go home spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations. ~ We do our best to update information on adoptable pets as frequently as we can. If you’re interested in a specific pet, we recommend that you call the shelter and ask if he or she still is available. Adoption applications are processed in the order in which they're received.For current adoption fees, please see our website, www.metrodetroitanimals.org. Adoption fee includes: age-appropriate vaccinations, spay or neuter, microchip, ID tag, fecal / worming, basic physical and behavior assessment. Dogs (6 months and older) receive an occult heartworm test. For an additional $20, cats (12 weeks and older) can be tested for FIV (feline immunodeficiency virus) / FLV (feline leukemia).
