My story

Super sweet Phoenix reflects a happy carefree spirit that belies her past. You wouldn’t know it at first glance - but she has risen from darkness. If you examine at her sunny smile closely, you will see remnants of despair. Most of her teeth are broken off at the gums. She is not in pain now but has clearly endured sorrow. When she first arrived at the shelter in April, she was reserved and unsure. Not knowing who to trust or what to expect. Over time, she began to realize she was in a safe space surrounded by people who care and have her best interest in mind.Once she understood she could relax, she allowed her inner glow and personality to shine. She’s been enchanting everyone with her warm personality ever since. Phoenix is an adorable 4-year-old girl with pointy triangle ears and caramel-colored eyes that look deep into your soul for connection. She is friendly, polite, quiet, and walks perfectly on leash. Her favorite thing to do is cuddle up into your arms and receive gentle affection. Her second favorite thing to do is play! When she’s excited, she scoots around in zoomie circles and prances back and forth in pure bliss. Phoenix has waited far too long to experience the good in life. She is overdue for an everlasting love that will fill all her future days with joy, comfort and peace. She is looking for a calm home with someone who can devote their time and heart to her always.
