My story

Meet Lucky! Looking for a courageous, playful, and loving pup to be your forever companion? Lucky is your girl! This stunning 3-year-old, 43 lb. mixed breed beauty (possibly with a touch of English Setter or Pointer) has overcome incredible odds and is ready to live life to the fullest--and she’d love to do it by your side.Lucky’s journey hasn’t been easy. She was found caught in a trap and her injuries led to the loss of one of her legs. But don’t let that fool you...this brave girl doesn’t let anything slow her down! In fact, she’s thriving in her foster home and zips around with grace, speed, and a big smile on her face. She’s been hard at work mastering house-training, crate time, and leash walking, and she’s making fantastic progress. Lucky would love a home with a fenced-in yard where she can safely show off her signature zoomies. Even on three legs, she’s full of energy and joy! She’s a social butterfly who could happily live with respectful kiddos, playful pups, and even cats. She can be a bit much for households with mellow or older dogs. Lucky is a shining example of resilience and love, and she’s ready for a family who will cheer her on and love her endlessly. Her foster says, `Lucky is the bravest cuddle bug you’ll ever meet. Missing one leg, this sweet pointer mix hasn’t missed a beat. After surviving a trap injury and being saved by a caring vet, Lucky is thriving—running, playing, and loving life. She is incredibly smart and quickly picking up on commands. She is potty trained but is still young so needs frequent outside potty breaks. She loves to be outside and should have a yard to enjoy, she’s also love to be with another friendly dog. She’s great with kids, especially gentle with babies, likes the cats, and adores playing with our golden retriever, they are such good buddies. Loyal, loving, and full of heart, Lucky is ready for her forever home! She really needs a fenced yard and a family is home more than they’re not.`She is available for adoption by appointment in Hanover or Hopkinton, MA. Please fill out an application on our website at https://www.browndogcoalition.com/adoptable as a first step.-Dogs may not be given as gifts or surprises.-Please thoughtfully discuss with your entire household the physical, safety, financial and emotional responsibilities of a dog BEFORE applying to adopt.- More information about our adoption process, application and adoption fees can be fo
