My story

Meet Maam, the sweetest, spunkiest girl you'll ever meet! This stunning 1-1.5 year old spayed female border collie mix weighs around 45 pounds and is bursting with love and energy. Despite being surrendered by her family due to circumstances beyond their control, Maam's heart remains full of love and loyalty. From Maams CT foster: "Maam is such the goodest girl!! So mellow and loves to play!! Walks great on a leash! She cries for a few minutes when you leave, but settles down quickly. Has not chewed anything! Uses pee pads when she has to go potty inside. Definitely needs a yard to run!!! She doesn’t care to have anyone watch her go potty, so definitely needs that yard! Absolutely loves car rides!!! Highly recommend she is not the only pup. She would do best with at least 1 playmate." Maam is a gem - friendly, gentle, and playful, thriving on interaction and activity. She's great with dogs, people, and dog-savvy kids, and her working breed spirit shines through in her love for play and exercise. While her compatibility with cats is unknown (no cat testing, although we think she may try to herd them), Maam's loving nature and spunky personality make her a perfect fit for an active family or individual. With her loving nature and spunky personality, Maam will capture your heart and become your loyal companion. Medically up to date, housebroken, will use pee pads when needed, and is crate trained (though she prefers freedom over crate time). Maam is ready to find her forever family and shower them with love and affection. Apply today to meet this precious girl and give her the happy ending she deserves! Click HERE for Adoption Application: pawsrescueleague.org/adopt Adoption fees vary based on the dog and are not negotiable. As a small rescue that does not receive government funding or grants, we rely on adoption fees to stay afloat. Adoption fees help cover the following: vaccinations, wellness exams, heartworm/4DX testing, parasite prevention, spay/neuter (age-appropriate), microchipping, transport expenses, and other rescue-related overhead/administrative costs. Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs.  We make a point to also rescue seniors, dogs with special needs, moms, and other “less desirable” dogs, knowing that we will likely incur higher veterinary expenses and that these dogs may take longer to get adopted.  As such, an individual adoption fee is not only reimbursing PRL for expenses directly related to that dog, but it is also helping us to continue our mission of taking in dogs that would otherwise be too much of a financial burden to save. We believe that ALL dogs deserve a second chance. Thank you for your support and understanding! ##2376446##

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Maam, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
